| The original Bloons was launched in April 2007 and is a simple and immediately addictive game that involves a monkey popping balloons with darts. 50 levels of puzzle were created with increasing difficulty. The popularity of the game was immediate, and Bloons quickly shot to stardom as one of the most enjoyable flash games of the year. Demand was so strong for a follow up that More Bloons was launched within 4 weeks of the original, with a new Bloon (the lightsabre Bloon) and again popularity was tremendous. Within it’s first year of release, Bloons reached a staggering 200 million plays worldwide, with More Bloons notching up more that 80 million plays itself. The popularity of Bloons drove us to launch the website www.bloonsworld.com, which allowed users to build and rate their own Bloons levels. The success of Bloonsworld has seen more than 700,000 users sign up to build and more than 2 million user submitted levels. Bloonsworld has spawned 4 “Player Packs” to date that feature some of our favourite levels from Bloonsworld and the recently lauched www.myninjakiwi.com. |
